𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐭 𝐆𝐑𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐎 👏 On Monday, eight new apprentices started their training at our Duisburg site. The trainees have opted for either an industrial or a commercial apprenticeship at GRILLO. Four industrial mechanics, two electronics technicians and two industrial clerks will gain a lot of professional experience here over the next few years. Depending on their training occupation, the trainees will initially be deployed in different areas, such as the training workshop, factory training, the vocational school or in the commercial departments. In addition, various training courses are held, for example on occupational safety and data protection, as well as first aid training. 𝐔𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐫𝐚𝐰 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬: 𝐛𝐢𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐬-𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐑𝐄𝐃𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭𝟐 𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐃𝐌𝐒 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐌𝐄 🌏 There is an increasing demand from the chemical industry for products in which fossil raw materials are replaced by renewable raw materials (biomass) in the manufacturing process. We are therefore delighted that our products dimethyl sulfate ECO (DMS) and GRILLO-one Green Dimethyl Ether (DME) have now been certified for the third time in a row in accordance with the REDcert² standard for biomass-balanced products in the chemical industry. We produce DME and DMS in Frankfurt from methanol, one of the world's most widely produced organic chemicals. Methanol production is usually based either on natural gas or on the gasification of coal. In our production, however, we replace part of this methanol with biomethanol, which is obtained from sustainable biomass sources. 𝐆𝐑𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐎'𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞🌍 We have been awarded the RIGK climate protection certificate for recycling the packaging of our commercial products sodium benzoate and potassium permanganate. Responsible use of resources is extremely important to us at GRILLO. We are therefore continuously working on measures to conserve resources. With the help of the RIGK system, we can return the packaging of our commercial products sodium benzoate and potassium permanganate to the circular economy. Last year, this enabled us to save a calculated 364 kg of greenhouse gas. This corresponds to the CO2 emissions that 26 trees bind in Europe every year. By returning and recycling our used packaging, we are pleased to be making a significant contribution to the sustainable and responsible use of valuable resources in the sense of the circular economy.

𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐓Ü𝐕 𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐆𝐑𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐎 𝐙𝐢𝐧𝐜 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐆𝐦𝐛𝐇 👏 Last Tuesday, our GRILLO Zinc Metals GmbH was presented with two new TÜV certificates. Previously, these certificates existed only in general form and were valid for GRILLO-Werke AG. Due to the transformation of our operational business units into independent companies as of 01.07.2024, GRILLO Zinc Metals GmbH has now been recertified according to the standards DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and DIN EN ISO 14001:2015. This makes it the first of the three new GmbHs to receive independent recertification. "We would like to thank TÜV NORD GROUP for the good and supportive cooperation. We are therefore very pleased that our colleague Dr. Benedikt Thesing was given the opportunity to speak to an international audience beside speakers from all over the world about the possibilities of reducing NH3 emissions with the help of our innovative bedding solution "ImproBed". This reflects the importance of this topic for the poultry sector. Our contribution was categorized in the topic area "Sustainability", which deals with sustainable solutions and practices in the poultry sector. Pascal Hagemann will become our new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on July 1. He takes over the position from Matthias Oehmicke, who is leaving the company for personal reasons. Pascal Hagemann joined the GRILLO Group in 2021 after eight successful years in auditing and restructuring consulting and two years as CFO of an automotive supplier. Since then, he has been highly committed to the successful transformation of our Group, most recently as Managing Director and CRO/CFO of RHEINZINK. He will continue to dedicate himself to this task in the future.
