🚍 Das SPIRIT-E Research Project erforscht die Möglichkeit zum Teilen von #Ladeinfrastruktur für E-Lkw mit Dritten im privaten Depot! Beim letzten #Schwerlastfrühstück am 26. Juli stellte Marcel Brödel von der TU München das Forschungsprojekt vor. Vielen Dank für den tollen Vortrag! 👏 🔌 Logistikunternehmen stehen vor vielen Herausforderungen beim Thema Elektrifizierung der Flotte: Zum einen ist die Verfügbarkeit öffentlicher Schnellladestationen noch unzureichend. Zum anderen ist der Aufbau eines privaten Depots mit einem hohen Kapitalaufwand verbunden und die unmittelbar verfügbaren Netzanschlussleistungen sind begrenzt. 💡 Um sich diesen Herausforderungen zu stellen, hat es sich das Projekt SPIRIT-E zum Ziel gemacht, ein Reallabor zur geteilten privaten Ladeinfrastruktur aufzubauen. Dafür soll ein Reservierungssystem entwickelt werden, welches ein Flottenlademanagement beinhaltet und zusätzlich einen zuverlässigen Zugang für Dritte ermöglicht. Um das Ganze reibungslos zu betreiben, werden Autorisierungs- und Abrechnungsprozesse direkt mitbetrachtet. ⚡ Auch die Netzintegration spielt bei diesem Konzept eine wichtige Rolle! Zur Kopplung von Transport- und Energiesektor sollen verschiedene bidirektionale Anwendungsfälle #V2X demonstriert werden – sowohl „behind the meter“ als auch „in front of the meter“. ⚡ Germany's top economists' council concluded: Battery Electric Trucks are a #noregrets strategy for the future. And we could not agree more. Here's our report. ⚡ Our joint research project NEFTON releases its own report on the electrification of road freight transport today. It includes guidelines on the future technologies in electric trucks and megawatt charging infrastructure. Furthermore, our experts take a look into the ecosystem that will be built up in the next decade, and provide insights on the transition towards fully electric road transport. The report is based on 20 publications (and counting!) and the best thing is: It's available for free online. (Link in the comments.) Moreover, at our final event on July 19th we will demonstrate the first public Megawatt charging session using the MCS system and discuss it with the leading voices, Frederik Zohm, Monika Schnitzer, Markus Lienkamp, Christoph Pellinger and more on the topic. 🚀 Milestone Achieved: Autonomous Driving on Public Roads with EDGAR! ⛰ This weekend marked a significant step forward in our journey towards autonomous driving on public roads. Together with Alpenverein München & Oberland and MCube - Munich Cluster for the future of Mobility in Metropolitan Regions, we had the incredible opportunity to showcase our research vehicle EDGAR in the scenic setting of the Bavarian Alps. The event was more than just a display of cutting-edge technology; it was a glimpse into how autonomous vehicles can contribute to sustainable mobility in the near future. Overcoming various challenges in a short span, our team worked tirelessly to ensure that EDGAR performed flawlessly on this new route.
