🌍 International Day for the Eradication of Poverty On this International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, we reflect on the critical role of living wages in breaking the cycle of poverty. The United Nations's Sustainable Development Goal 1 (SDG1) calls for an end to poverty by 2030. This goal can only be realised if we address the need for a living wage making sure that workers, especially the most vulnerable, are paid wages that truly cover the cost of living. A #LivingWage is more than a paycheque — it's a lifeline that provides for essential needs like food, shelter, education, and healthcare, paving the way for long-term economic security.
