Paper ashtrays: A small step against 4.5 trillion butts in the environment worldwide 🌍🚬 In Germany alone, 2/3 of all smoked cigarettes end up on the ground 😱. These contain up to 7,000 pollutants that enter groundwater and bodies of water through rain 🌧️🌊. A discarded cigarette butt can contaminate up to 1,000 liters of water 🚱, cause forest fires 🔥 or be dangerous for children 🚸 (Source: BUND Landesverband Bremen). Our idea is a paper ashtray 📄 that allows smokers to easily and responsibly dispose of their cigarette butts, reducing pollution and making environmental protection more accessible 🚮. We were delighted 😊 to be given the opportunity to have our prototype tested by a large number of smokers at the Schlossgarten Open Air in Osnabrück on August 9 and 10 🎉. The many positive responses and the great interest in our idea motivate us to push ahead with it 💪. A special thanks to the Felix Schoeller team, especially Katja Tekbas (project management) and Knut Milius, for their innovative idea and ongoing commitment to bringing it to life 🙏. 🌍 Felix Schoeller & NOSTA: Pioneering emission-free logistics 🚛 Our collaboration with the NOSTA Group has been driving sustainability forward with the introduction of three fully electric Volvo FH trucks. These trucks shuttle between Weißenborn and Siebenlehn warehouse, targeting an impressive reduction of 160,000 kg of CO2 annually. 🍃 ▶️ The results are clear: So far, the electric trucks have covered 34,150 kilometers, saving 15,026 liters of fuel and reducing CO2 emissions by 41,471 kg - 1,471.76 kilograms more than our initial target! In 2007 she started as Marketing Manager at M. Kaindl KG, after which she joined the Hettich Group as Project Marketing Manager in 2010. Susanne Schniepp has been with Felix Schoeller since 2017. Initially as Senior Marketing Manager and later as Senior Manager Corporate Communications & Marketing. Today, Schniepp works as Sales Manager Decor EMEA with a focus on decor trend analysis and colour management. Philipp Keisker holds a Master of Science in Sales Management. He began his training and studies at Felix Schoeller in 2010, where he started as Customer Service Manager Photo Imaging in 2013. He then switched to sales in 2016, where he worked as Area Sales Manager and Key Account Manager Technocell decor, among other things. Since 2021, Keisker has held deputy segment responsibility (sales, technology, colouristics) for Decor EMEA with a focus on solid colour management.

Osnabrück, June 2024  – Felix Schoeller, in collaboration with other leading European decor paper producers, has welcomed the European Commission's decision to initiate an anti-dumping investigation into the imports of decor paper from China. This investigation, launched today, follows a complaint jointly lodged by the Osnabrück-based specialty paper manufacturer and three other major European decor paper producers. The companies assert that this investigation is crucial for preventing further harm to the European decor paper industry and ensuring fair competition in the European market.
