Encory's Import Markets Project: Reviving Obsolete Parts Encory's Import Markets project focuses on a buyback initiative that allows importers (OEM Aftermarket Partners in Importing Countries) to reintroduce parts into the global market, which would otherwise remain obsolete and stored indefinitely. Initial discussions with OEMs began in 2021, leading to the launch of a pilot project in 2022, which included Saudi Arabia and Turkey, and an official project start in September 2023. Depending on the situation, we offer either remote or on-site handling for these transactions. To support this initiative, we have developed various IT tools, including monitoring systems and dedicated apps for both remote and on-site management. Since the beginning of the year, we have successfully retrieved a total of 7,700 parts, giving them a second chance. Our team has visited several countries on-site, including Morocco, Bahrain, Kuwait, Panama, Egypt, and Qatar, with plans to visit Oman in November. We are thrilled about the potential for further collaboration and positive impact in the recycling and sustainability sectors as we move forward.
