Led by Dr. Friedrich Proes at Fraunhofer IAPT and supported by Dipl.-Ing. Jens Rasche from EDAG Group, Mesmeronic pioneers integrating additively manufactured electronics into mechatronic systems. This advanced technique involves layer-by-layer component design, followed by surface post-processing and selective copper deposition using chemical metallization. It enables: 🚀 rapid prototyping 💰 cost benefits for small series 🔧 realization of complex, functional integrated and ultra-lightweight components Applications span diverse industries needing complex, variant-rich electronics. H1 2024: RESILIENT PERFORMANCE IN A CHALLENGING ENVIRONMENT // In the first half of 2024, the EDAG Group demonstrated resilience, achieving a revenue increase of 1.8 %, totaling € 429.2 million. The solid growth in Production Solutions (+26.3 %) and steady performance in Vehicle Engineering (+0.1 %) were key contributors. Our adjusted EBIT stood at € 21.8 million, resulting in a 5.1 % margin, slightly lower than last year’s 5.6 %. While we observed a decline in order intake, positive trends in cash flow were evident, with operating cash flow increasing by € 37.5 million. June marked the successful opening of our Zero Prototype Lab in Wolfsburg—a one-of-a-kind driving dynamics simulation center in Europe. This facility enables virtual vehicle testing, fostering a more sustainable approach to development. Our focus remains on boosting order intake and broadening our service offerings. NÜRBURGRING THRILLS: A WEEKEND FULL OF DRAMA AND EXCITEMENT // Last Saturday, Bortolotti held firm in P2 from a dry qualifying session, even though the Lamborghini was not quite up to par. Meanwhile, Kelvin van der Linde showcased his dominance with a flawless start-to-finish win, seizing the championship lead. Thiim faced his own challenges, losing two positions during a rain-affected pit stop and finishing in P8. The drama continued on Sunday: Thiim encountered issues right after the start, leading to the first Safety Car period and forcing him to retire. Bortolotti, weighed down by the extra load from P2, struggled to advance from P6 and fell to P9 due to pit stop complications. Despite the setbacks, he managed to hold onto second place in the championship. Next up: The action shifts to the Sachsenring! Best of luck to SSR Performance for another thrilling race. 🔥🏁
