Introducing: sustainable coffee by Ecosia x Slow ☕️🌳 Have you heard of our circular funding projects? 🔄 Some of the tree-planting projects we support are set up in a way that they generate funds that can then be reinvested into additional projects, expanding the scale with every cycle. For example: coffee! Slow is a sustainable coffee producer that has developed Sustainable Agroforestry Systems (SAF). SAFs mimic natural forests, supporting the health of coffee trees and capturing significant amounts of carbon. By managing every step of the coffee supply chain, Slow is also able to remove 6 kg of CO2 from the atmosphere for every kilo of coffee sold. Their goal: transforming traditional coffee monocultures into thriving SAFs by planting diverse trees on existing farms, turning them into carbon-capturing forests. For now, their coffee is exclusively available to companies, but you can book a coffee tasting with Slow here: https://lnkd.in/gYgqNHCB Do you run a tree-planting project that generates revenue? What an exciting update to finally see Ecosia in the default search options in Firefox 🦊🤝🌳 Over the course of 2025, Ecosia will be added as a search engine in Firefox settings in European markets. It’s a great step up from the existing Ecosia extension and makes us even more visible. We’re big fans of Mozilla's dedication to a better internet. Here’s to planting millions more trees!

You helped us restore this mangrove forest ✨🌳 Mangroves are really special trees: they prevent the soil from washing into the sea, are home to a wide variety of species, protect communities from extreme weather events, and sequester huge amounts of carbon. In this project, we planted and protected 890,000 trees with Eden Reforestation 💚 We couldn't have done this if millions of you hadn't downloaded Ecosia, searched the web, and told friends about us! Keep searching and planting so we can keep reforesting the planet together 🌳

Changing this one setting in your iPhone could help plant millions of trees 🌳💡 Very soon, the new iOS 18.2 update for iPhone and iPad users in the EU will prompt you to choose a default browser app. You can choose the usual, or you can choose Ecosia — the greenest browser on the planet. Tag a coworker or friend in the comments who you think should switch to Ecosia 🌳 #IChooseEcosia #Ecosia

Wouldn’t it be really convenient if there was a label distinguishing the tree-planting projects that are done well from the empty promises that end up ruining ecosystems? 🌳 Introducing the Global Biodiversity Standard: a certification and manual to evaluate tree-planting projects based on their impact on biodiversity 🌏🌱 We’re proud to say two of our projects were among the first ever to be certified! 📹 Watch our latest YouTube video to learn all about it:
Most tree planting hurts the climate. How we're fixing it.
