We were at Stage Two 2024! 💫 Last week the Collective Incubator attended Stage Two in Berlin! It was an intense two days full of #innovation, inspiring people and exceptional young companies. For us, Stage Two stands out for its fantastic, personal atmosphere, bringing together innovators from across Europe for the chance to connect, share ideas and build new collaborations. A special congratulations to Aachen-based team FloodWaive, who impressed the jury with their outstanding work and took home multiple awards. They are one of the teams working on their #vision every day in the Collective Incubator - and it's paying off! A big thank you to the Stage Two family, RWTH Innovation, Malte Brettel, Prof. Dr. Stephan (Thor) Stubner all the organisers, partners and universities who made this event possible, and of course to the start-ups who shared their visions with us. The Collective Incubator Academies are back! 🚀 The Collective Incubator Academy is your free entrepreneurship learning program at the Collective Incubator. Whether you're an interested student, a volunteer in a student initiative, or actively working on your start-up, we’ve got you covered. The Collective Incubator Academy prepares you to launch your own business, complements the RWTH Innovation Ideation or Incubation programs, and supports you through the challenging phases of entrepreneurship. Our first session on “Due Diligence Review of AI Startups” with YPOG was a great success. Today, we’re excited to continue with a session all about Fundraising, led by Dr. Alexander Wallot and CEO of FUNDED. Alex will guide you through the complex world of funding opportunities, equity, and debt financing. We elected a new board! 🌟 Please join us welcoming Karolina Braun and David Lebus as the new Chairwoman and Chairman of the Collective Incubator e.V. Both have shown outstanding commitment in their time here and are now very excited to be taking on this role. Karolina and David are committed to deepening our collaboration with RWTH Aachen University and increasing our visibility among all students in Aachen. At the same time, they aim to create innovative offerings that enhance exchange and collaboration within our community, making the concepts of co-working and co-innovation even more accessible. They aim to work even more closely with other student initiatives and will continue to provide them with a home within the Collective Incubator, where they will be supported at all levels. 💛 A big thank you to the outgoing board Julius Freytag and Timon Rochholz for their great work and dedication to the Collective Incubator. Their tireless efforts have laid a strong foundation on which the entire Collective Incubator team is eager to build.

🌟Recap: Meet the Founder with the Strüngmann Brothers We had an inspiring evening at the Meet the Founder event, hosted by AC.E Aachener Entrepreneurship Team e.V.! The event brought together students, entrepreneurs, and innovators in the historic Aachen Town Hall, where we had the incredible opportunity to hear from none other than Dr. Andreas and Dr. Thomas Strüngmann, the visionary founders behind Hexal and BioNTech. 🎯Key Takeaways: The Strüngmann brothers shared insights into the entrepreneurial journey, emphasizing the importance of passion and credibility as key traits for startup success. They reminded us that success isn’t achieved by working by the clock – instead, it requires relentless dedication, perseverance, and a willingness to push boundaries. During the Q&A session, attendees engaged with thought-provoking questions and received practical advice on navigating challenges in the startup ecosystem. From mindset to market strategies, it was clear that the Strüngmann brothers’ experiences are a treasure trove for aspiring entrepreneurs! The evening also featured an exciting Startup Showcase, where innovative projects from across the region were presented. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and explore potential collaborations. Meet Triton! 🌊🚤 We're excited to introduce Triton e.V., a new initiative from our community. This team of twenty passionate students is on a #mission to build a fully autonomous, solar-powered boat. Their goal? To cross the Atlantic Ocean in 2026 as part of the Microtransat Challenge. It's a daunting task, but Triton is ready to tackle any obstacles the ocean throws their way. 🎉 We are very happy to share that the Social Entrepreneurship Program, in partnership with Santander Deutschland and RWTH Aachen University, will continue thanks to its recent extension. What is the Social Entrepreneurship Program? Since its launch in 2020, the #SEP has been supporting committed student projects at RWTH Aachen University that develop innovative solutions to social and environmental challenges. Each year, up to eight projects that demonstrate creativity and a commitment to making a positive impact are supported with a sum of 75.000€ in funding. Why is this important? In a world facing increasingly complex challenges, it's essential that young talents have the opportunity to put their ideas into practice. The SEP provides the space and resources to turn visions into reality and create real social benefit. 🌍 The extension of the program underlines the importance we place on supporting young innovators. We are excited by the response to date and the impressive outcomes of the projects and look forward to continuing this successful journey.
