It has been an honor to be part of the ESA BIC Northern Germany Breakfast last Friday. Sarah Nufal and Ratanlal Purohit represented ASTRA on stage with a keynote, which highlighted the general gap between the needs and expectations of students and modern companies. Which is truly fitting, since we set out to bridge that gap especially in the aerospace industry by providing students with the appropriate environment to gain practical in-field experience, while developing their particular industry knowledge paired with necessary soft- and leadership-skills. And the result of that? Over the last 3 years we had more than 160 committed members of which a multitude are currently working in established, renowned organizations, bringing their „out of the box“ ASTRA mentality to develop and innovate the solutions of tomorrow (or of the next century 🚀). But we also inspire the young ones. Our public appearances always attract the most creative and curious of all: Children and Adolescents. And we hope to further that inspiration by launching our hybrid rocket Phoenix“ from November 2nd and 3rd in the Mojave desert, California. You want to see it? #throwback zur Sonderedition des ESA BIC Northern Germany Breakfast am 11. Oktober! Letzten Freitag kamen Experten, Innovatoren und Studierende zusammen, um sich über die neuesten Entwicklungen und Chancen in der Raumfahrt- und #Startup-Welt auszutauschen. 🚀 Die Constructor University und NebulaForm begrüßten uns und hielten spannende Vorträge. Eine Keynote von ASTRA e.V. beleuchtete, ob Studierende nach dem Abschluss besser in einem Startup, KMU oder OEM arbeiten sollten. Darauf folgte die ESA BIC Panels Expo, bei der Unternehmen, Startups und Organisationen sich an eigenen Ständen präsentierten konnten.
