A Toms River woman will spend at least eight years in prison after admitting to her role in the death of her roommate, a former Manchester High School janitor, authorities said. Man Shot In Newark, Three People Detained: Police
A man was shot in Newark on the evening of Friday, Sept. 13, authorities said. At 7:57 p.m., police responded to the 400 block of South 16th Street on a report of a shooting, and found a man who had been shot, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. A handgun was also recovered at the scene, Fragé said. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital and is in stable condition, Fragé said. The Ford E350 Camper was heading south when it struck the unidentified pedestrian walking in the roadway at milepost 145.2 in Irvington around 8:05 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, New Jersey State Police Sgt.
