YONKERS, N.Y. – The kindergarteners and first-graders of Yonkers’ School 16 sang “This Land is Your Land” as is an end-of-year tradition while they learn about their diverse backgrounds.
Students in kindergarten to fifth grade studied different cultures that make up their school and then put on a performance to show what they learned, the school district said.
Fifth-graders also joined in on the performances with a Dandiya stick dance.
