At approximately 10:45 p.m., officials said firefighters were dispatched to South Third Avenue, where a two-story home was engulfed in flames, which spread to two more buildings.

The house eventually collapsed, and the nearby buildings were damaged as the flames spread.

In total, nearly a dozen people were temporarily displaced from a neighboring home, and are presently being assisted by volunteers with the American Red Cross. A temporary shelter was set up at the Armory as they searched for housing.

Police temporarily shut down the roadway as the investigation into the fire began. The cause of the blaze has not yet been confirmed. There were no injuries immediately reported.
