Maria Fareri Children's Hospital Nationally Ranked

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. – The Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center has been named a Nationally Ranked Hospital, according to U.S. News.

The center is ranked No. 44 in Pediatrics: Gastroenterology and GI Surgery and No. 38 in Pediatrics: Neonatology.

“This hospital was one of 87 facilities that made the rankings in at least one of the 10 specialties analyzed for the 2013-14 Best Children’s Hospitals,” according to the U.S. News site.

Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center is located at 100 Woods Road in Valhalla. The pediatric facility admits approximately 120 patients per day, “a modest number for a children’s center,” according to the site.

The hospital also has areas for parents and siblings to spend the night, as well as a family resource center.
