The event, organized by Czech Optical Cluster and Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Brno University of Technology, asked big questions: 💡 Is optics the career of the future? 💡 How are advances in optical systems shaping industries today? The program featured an impressive lineup, from insights into optics as a study discipline to a fascinating session on holographic endoscopy by Prof. Tomas Cizmar, fresh from his 2024 European Microscopic Award win. Cluster representatives shed light on cutting-edge optical technologies and their applications, emphasizing the powerful reach of optics across sectors. Networking was at the heart of the event. Companies like Meopta s.r.o., TELIGHT Co., ZEISS Group, HiLASE Centre, Narran, FORVIA HELLA, EVPÚ Defence, esc Aerospace, ROBE Lighting s.r.o., Magna Lighting Czech and the Young Czechoslovak Microscopy Society engaged attendees through interactive booths and presentations, sparking lively discussions and collaboration. Clusters in Action: Empowering Innovation and Technology Transfer 🌐 On October 16, 2024, Czech Optical Cluster Petr Přikryl took part in the Cluster Day in the South Moravian Region, held at Mendelova univerzita v Brně. Organized by National Cluster Association - CZ and CREA Hydro&Energy, z.s., the event centered around “Technology Transfer in Practice: The Role of Clusters as Facilitators of Innovation and Technology Transfer.” Participants had the chance to hear from leading experts and government representatives, including Marek Ženíšek (online) - the Minister for Science, Research, and Innovation, Petr Očko - Deputy Minister for Digitalization and Innovation, Martin Klimánek - Vice-Rector of Mendel University, Jiří Herinek, President of the National Cluster Association of the Czech Republic and others.💡 ZEBR s.r.o. from Milovice in #brnoregion, a valued member of Czech Optical Cluster, presented its groundbreaking collaboration with Univerzita Palackého v Olomouci and Meopta s.r.o. on the development of a state-of-the-art Raman spectrometer.
