Ascot Insurance is a “specialty risk-assumption organization,” providing insurance and other solutions to global customers. The company reports its insurance products, offered by affiliates, are rated A (Excellent) by AM Best Company. Ascot says its partnership with Zywave will help Ascot become “a modern-era company operating through an ecosystem of interconnected global operating platforms bound by a common mission and purpose.”
The partnership reflects the growing role of insurtech in extending and improving backend and broker/agent operations for carriers.
BTW, “inland marine” is not to be confused with “ocean marine,” or maritime insurance, which involves activities on the water. “Inland marine’ generally refers to shipping and warehousing on land, where cargo theft and transport collisions are major risks. See our recent report involving marine, or maritime, cyber insurance.
