Studien 

Um seine Berichterstatter und Mitglieder bestmöglich mit Informationen zu unterstützen, kann der Europäische Ausschuss der Regionen (AdR) auf die Hilfe externer Sachverständiger zurückgreifen und sie beauftragen, wissenschaftliche Studien zu bestimmten relevanten Themen zu erstellen.

Zusätzlich zu diesen, vom AdR veröffentlichten Studien erarbeitet der Wissenschaftliche Dienst des Europäischen Parlaments (EPRS) Briefings und Analysen, die sich auf die beratenden Arbeiten des AdR beziehen und diese unterstützen. Grundlage dafür ist die Vereinbarung über die Zusammenarbeit zwischen dem Europäischen Ausschuss der Regionen und dem Europäischen Parlament vom 5. Februar 2014.
