Call for Applications: Changemaker Program Lead for the New Faculty Development Program for Historically Excluded Research Faculty
There is a call for applications to be the lead of the Changemaker program, as part of the new Faculty Development Program for Historically Excluded (HE) Research Faculty. The latter is a UCSF-wide program led by Christina Mangurian, MD, MAS, focused on supporting the career development of HE faculty throughout UCSF.
 
This is a 10% academic appointment. All applicants must already have a current faculty or staff research scientist appointment at UCSF, and extensive experience in carrying out research, whether as a faculty member/investigator or in their former training related to a PhD or other professional degree.
 
The application period will close on Friday, May 1 at 5 p.m.

The UCSF Catalyst Program and Foundation IPSEN are hosting a Rare Disease Virtual Symposium (register) titled "Rare Disease Discovery: Innovations in Diagnostics and Therapeutics" in honor of the over 300 million people worldwide with a rare disease.

This year’s forum will feature 2021 UCSF Climate Survey results, the Chancellor’s True North and its intersection with DEI efforts, remarks from new UCSF leaders, and observations from UCSF Presidential Chair Camara Jones, MD, MPH, PhD. We encourage all to attend and bring your questions.

May 9 | 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
This symposium includes keynote speakers Carrie Byington, MD, executive vice president, UC Health, and Atul Butte, MD, PhD, director of BCHSI, chief data scientist of UC Health; research talks demonstrating the potential transformative impact of multifactor data science; and workshops detailing tools, data, and support available.

May 20 | 2 - 3:30 p.m.
This event will recognize clinical research coordinators and their many contributions to UCSF's research enterprise. All CRCs and clinical research support staff are welcome! Stay tuned for registration and event details.
