Today, NordicTrack and ProForm (both owned by iFIT), launched a ton of new smart fitness equipment, as well as an entirely redesigned operating system and interactive AI Coach. With new treadmills, bikes, ellipticals, and a rower, this is by far the biggest launch of new products we have ever seen from iFIT.
On NordicTrack’s website, the new hardware listed includes:
- X24 Incline Treadmill ($3,999 USD)
- X16 Incline Treadmill ($3,499 USD)
- New Commercial 2450 Treadmill ($2,999 USD)
- New Commercial 1750 Treadmill ($2,499 USD)
- New Commercial 1250 Treadmill ($1,999 USD)
- X24 Bike ($1,999 USD)
- X16 Elliptical ($2,499 USD)
- New RW900 Rower ($1,799 USD)
On ProForm’s website, the new hardware listed includes:
- Carbon Pro 9000 Treadmill ($3,799 USD)
- Carbon Pro 2000 Treadmill ($1,499 USD)
While there are certainly plenty of changes and upgrades on these new devices (which we will cover in the future as we review them), iFIT says:
The entire range features lightning-fast new screens and processors, with highlights being the new X24 Treadmill, an innovative treadmill designed specifically for incline training with up to 40% incline, the immersive new X24 Bike which also features incline and decline, and significant updates to the top-selling NordicTrack 2450 Commercial Treadmill. All the new products benefit from the entirely new iFIT software experience.
Updated iFIT OS and AI Coach
While iFIT enabled NordicTrack and ProForm equipment already had several well developed smart features (like Smart Adjust and ActivePulse), the new iFIT OS has completely redesigned the entire system.
The new iFIT AI Coach (currently in beta) brings new and enhanced personalization to the member experience. The AI Coach is designed to work directly with members to help build healthy habits and accountability and will even communicate through text so it can accompany members wherever they (and their phones) are. Members can even ask the iFIT AI Coach to schedule a workout on their phone and it will automatically appear on their iFIT-enabled machine.
IFIT says that the more members engage with the iFIT AI Coach by asking questions or doing workouts, the more it will be able to personalize their experience.
Along with iFIT AI Coach, iFIT has added new features like enabling popular streaming services while working out and added a Workout Creator that enables members to program their own library of personal workouts.
Connect The Watts’ Take
Despite iFIT being one of Peloton’s biggest competitors, we haven’t heard much from the company over the past few years. However, it looks like they have been busy behind the scenes preparing for this massive launch of new products and features.
Personally, I really enjoy iFIT-enabled fitness equipment and find their instructor-led scenic classes to be by far the best in the industry. So I am excited to see the company continue to evolve and improve both its hardware and software.
