Done. dbenbenn | talk 18:24, 7 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
The complicated thing on the left of the flag isn't quite vertically symmetric. Compare to Image:Flag of Belarus.png. Should this one be fixed? dbenbenn | talk 16:37, 30 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
If you want to fix it, go ahead. Zscout370 21:45, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Disappear

[edit]

Why does it disappear? Demon Witch (talk) 15:56, 10 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I am having so many technical problems problems with this image; I tried to replace it last night with the new flag of Belarus and the software is just going apeshit. User:Zscout370 (Return fire) 18:19, 10 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

New version

[edit]

Since this won't let me upload a new version, is there a way to replace this version with this?

File:Flag of the Republic of Belarus.svg

This is the correct flag in Soviet colors. FreshCorp619 (talk) 02:03, 2 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

We have the correct colors for the flag already in the file. User:Zscout370 (Return fire) 20:06, 2 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Upload Request

[edit]

 Not done {{Editprotected}}

I request that SVG file be overwrite to File:Flag of Belarus Fixed.svg. This file is a new file fixed something by me. But I can't upload overwrite new version file.

If request is completed, delete to File:Flag of Belarus.svg. --Tcfc2349 (talk) 15:50, 16 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Tcfc, if you request a protection edit you must give a reason. I don't see a fix (the file is only 4 times larger and the code is also not well formed anymore). -- User: Perhelion 09:33, 17 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
This request have a reason, I fixed left pattern unioned at Inkscape. Because left pattern was pieced 4 pieces. So I think it has a problem, and I fixed file. --Tcfc2349 (talk) 11:07, 17 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Sarang: can you please check and imagine what is happening? @Tcfc2349: Sorry I see absolutely no difference in Inkscape. Which version you use? Anyway, if this would be an Inkscape bug, then there is no need to fix it here. -- User: Perhelion 11:33, 17 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I used Inkscape version 0.92. --Tcfc2349 (talk) 11:37, 17 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Me too, maybe make a screenshot and may report it to Inkscape!? If you can give more evidence we could imagine what is the real reason. -- User: Perhelion 11:44, 17 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Perhelion: Tcfc says (in my user talk page) "pattern in the left was split to 4 parts and I was trying to merge them". Maybe this can be a reason? — regards, Revi 12:38, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@-revi and Tcfc2349: Hello can you confirm this? I see no reason why this should happen, except of the very long scale factor 5.304347826 9. So it is high probably a Inkscape detail render setting. If this could be fixed without removing the simple and typical SVG clone technique, then I agree (even if the file gets larger). I mean that is not too much, and please don't make the code one-line. PS: and don't forget the XML prolog (as some browser SVG don't render without). -- User: Perhelion 13:07, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
If not I will remove this scaling factor soon. -- User: Perhelion 16:31, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
✓ Done @Tcfc2349: there is nothing wrong with this file. -- User: Perhelion 22:27, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Upload Request

I request that SVG file be overwrite to File:Flag of Belarus fixed.svg again. This file is a new file fixed something in left pattern by me. This time I modified it in a different way. But I can't upload overwrite new version file. If request is completed, delete to File:Flag of Belarus fixed.svg. --Tcfc2349 (talk) 22:12, 8 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Correction of the flag image

[edit]

{{Edit request}} Image needs some minor changes in the ornament part to be correct. The example of the flag is on the page of the MFA Belarus http://mfa.gov.by/en/sgp_en/state_symbols

There's a version of a file File:Correct Flag Of Belarus.svg made by IDiamond maybe it can be used for replacement. Thanks in advance. --Rockfan (talk) 13:51, 29 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

For your reference, I made some modifications to the file, and the capacity was reduced accordingly. Please review the discussion and appreciate the replacement. --Tcfc2349 (talk) 11:49, 30 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, but the main question is not about the capacity. the ornament of the flag needs to be corrected. I've highlighted the elements to be added

--Rockfan (talk) 09:06, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Okay. I know that. --Tcfc2349 (talk) 01:13, 4 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
✓ Done That should do it. Corrected version verified with official government website. Corrected version merged into this one. --Majora (talk) 02:00, 26 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Confusion colour codes

[edit]

I've noticed a change going on regarding the colours, I tried to match the colour codes for the current version with the codes mention in the MFA website but it didn't match. SpinnerLaserz (talk) 04:46, 26 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello SpinnerLaserz, there is indeed an Adobe (RGB 1998) ICC colour profile in the JPEG file(s), which is to be assumed to be used. So I'll update the colors. Thanks for the hint.
Adobe (RGB 1998)
     red rendered as RGB 206 023 032Pantone 1795 C
     green rendered as RGB 000 124 048Pantone 355 С
sRGB IEC

     green rendered as RGB 058 123 057Pantone 355 С

please replace file

[edit]

{{Edit request}} Please replace this file with File:Flag of Belarus — 2023 revamp.svg which is modeled after File:Flag_of_Belarus_(construction_sheet).svg. Fixes:

  1. The width of the vertical red stripe along the hoist is changed from 120 the width of the ornament to 121 the width of the ornament as per СТБ 911-2008.
  2. Nominal dimensions of the flag are changed from 900×450 to 1200×600.
  3. The red rectangle with width="100%" and height="100%" is replaced with a normal SVG path defined with pixels. This makes it possible to import the file into another SVG without it blowing up.
  4. The white pattern is now extended underneath the green rectangle to avoid colour bleed. If you don't believe there is colour bleed, open both files in Gimp at a resoution of 898x449 and observe the border between green and white; it should be pale green, but on the old flag there is a red tinge due to the background colour bleeding through. I am not denying it is subtle, but generally it is best to avoid colour bleed in the interior of an SVG drawing.
  5. The parts of the ornament that span the ornament's vertical and horizontal centerlines are now painted with single paths instead of using SVG relections. This is to avoid artifacts caused by double painting of white edges near the centerlines. The difference can be seen when zooming into the centerlines of the ornament with Gimp. Yes it is extremely subtle. The fix increases the file size by a few bytes but I have no concerns about that; I fear the game of reducing file sizes to a bare minimum has started to interfere with the quality of flags on Wikimedia. MapGrid (talk) 04:16, 7 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I am still waiting for an Admin to replace File:Flag of Belarus.svg with File:Flag of Belarus — 2023 revamp.svg. In the meantime, I did an update to an unprotected file named File:Flag of Belarus (2012–present).svg. As a result, the following two files are currently identical:

Ultimately File:Flag of Belarus (2012–present).svg should probably be linked to File:Flag of Belarus.svg, but not before the update to File:Flag of Belarus.svg is completed. MapGrid (talk) 17:56, 14 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I see that User:Túrelio has deleted File:Flag of Belarus — 2023 revamp.svg; it is now a link to File:Flag of Belarus (2012–present).svg. The instructions for this edit request now change to:
  1. Please update the SVG code in File:Flag of Belarus.svg with the latest SVG code from File:Flag of Belarus (2012–present).svg.
  2. After that is completed, File:Flag of Belarus (2012–present).svg should be converted to a link.
Thank you. MapGrid (talk) 17:45, 5 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
