The cabin is located in the Inyo National Forest, about 2.5 miles (4.0 km) from the Big Pine Creek trail head next to the north fork of Big Pine Creek, Eastern Sierra. The cabin was designed by Paul R. Williams, a noted architect, for Lon Chaney. The cabin was built in 1929. |
