Deutsch: Karl der Große. Gemalt im Jahr 14. Dies ist, der Gestalt und [dem] Bildnis gleich, Kaiser Karl, der das Römische Reich den Deutschen untertänig gemacht hat. Seine Krone und Kleidung, hoch geachtet, zeigt man in Nürnberg jedes Jahr mit anderen Heiligtümern öffentlich.
English: Charlemagne. Ruled for the duration of 14 years. This is in shape and likeness Emperor Charles, who subjected the Roman Empire to the Germans. His crown and clothing well esteemed is shown publicly in Nuremberg each year, along with other sanctuaries.
