Parthénon. Intérieur, vu de l'ouest.1 - Cette épreuve présente l'intérieur du Parthénon sous un angle de vue surélevé et très original. À l'extrémité gauche, la petite maison qui servait de « musée provisoire » de l'Acropole est visible. Elle fut démolie en 1878. Le nouveau musée de l'Acropole, dont la construction est achevée en 1874, apparaît à travers la colonnade est. En contre-bas, nous distinguons l'Olympieion qui n'est plus couronné par la « cellule du stylite » au niveau de l'architrave (détruite en 1874). À l'arrière plan, les collines du Lycabette et de l'Ardettos structurent la composition.
