One of the best ways to make the contest advertised to the people is by using CentralNotice banner. Which appears at the top of the pages, and has a function of rotation with other CentralNotice banners (so to avoid showing 2 banners simultaneously) as well as geolocation (so only people from the needed country will see it).

Please provide the following information, so that international team could set up the banner for your country:

  • Banner design (either choose standard or add your own (or describe so that others could layout it for you))
  • Banner text in languages you need and we recommended also to have in English also
  • Landing page for the banner to link to. The page should be a good start for participants to get basic info about the contest as well as have links to further details (your local WLE site or a page on Commons). Please note that those landing pages should also have some information for non-speakers of your language

  • By default the whole text would be turned into the link to the landing page, if you want just some sentence or words to work as a link, please point that
  • It is possible to use different banners for different devices (like one banner adapted for desktop, and another for ios/android phones). By default the same one will be used everywhere. You can provide a banner for another device.
  • It is also possible to use several banners on the same device, just one of them will be should at one page load. It is possible to set which one will be shown more. You can provide additional banner design and/or text.
