- "Spiel des Jahres" ist not "a product release party". It is a cultural award, given by a non-profit association. "It is thought that the existence and popularity of the award is one of the major drivers of the quality of games coming out of Germany." The decision is made by a jury of journalists working on an honorary basis. Harald Schrapers is the chair of this jury, Wieland Herold an Udo Bartsch are members of the jury.--*smile* (talk) 20:27, 11 April 2019 (UTC)
