Parthénon. Plaque de la frise des Panathénées, côté ouest.9 - Plaque X, n°18-19. Deux cavaliers tête nue sont montés sur des chevaux lancés au galop. La diversité dans les positions des animaux confère de la vitalité et du pittoresque à cette scène de cavalcade, notamment dans le second groupe où le cavalier tire de sa main gauche la tête du cheval vers l'arrière.
