Wash and rough dry hair with your favorite T3 dryer until your hair is about 80% dry. Then, select your desired brush and attach to handle. Twist the top part of your hair out of the way and secure it with a section clip. Gather the bottom half of your hair into another clip leaving out a 1-2” section. Gather 2” section and brush hair from root to ends. Repeat until hair has completely dried. Then, press the lock-in cool shot button to give your hair a burst of cool air and set the style. Release the styled hair and repeat on all sections until hair is fully styled.

Made my hair sleek and shiny
I own the T3 twirl trio and loved it so thought I would give this a try! I try to put the least amount of heat on my hair which I reserve for the curler. First of all- it made my hair look so healthy and shiny! I was able to adjust the heat which I couldn’t do with the Revlon brush dryer. People complained it required 2 hands but you would use two hands with a blow dryer and brush anyway so I didn’t find that tedious. However, after 2 weeks it started turning off on its own. At first I thought I accidentally did that (which by design is very possible) but realized it wasn’t me. Then I wasn’t sure if it got as hot as it did in the beginning but it enough it did dry my hair. Also the brush is 2.5in round and my hair is long with lots of layer so I felt like I needed a bigger brush attachment. I returned it simply because of the turning off issue. It was too expensive to gamble whether that was going to get better. I would buy it again but maybe with a warranty next time!

I love this hair dryer for my hair. Recognizing all hair is not created the same, I could see how it might not be the best choice for people with super thick and hard to dry hair. I am African American with shoulder length, 3c-4a, low porosity hair. Being that my hair is low porosity, it is fairly easy to dry because it doesn’t hold moisture. I love the light weighted nature so my hands, wrist, and shoulders are not hurting from blow drying my hair. The T3 doesn’t get very hot, so again this works very well for my hair because it doesn’t damage it, but someone with hard to dry hair may require something with higher heat to reduce drying time. I’m very happy with my purchase because my blowouts are gorgeous now!

Contrary to what a few other reviews mentioned, this is actually great for thick hair. It can grip onto a pretty large chunk of hair at a time while still being effective. If you apply the correct heat setting for your hair type and create adequate tension on the hair strands as you brush them out, you can get a salon quality blow out with this. The combo of plastic and nylon bristles allows for the right amount of tension you need to smooth the hair. This may have actually outperformed a much more expensive blow dryer tool I have with attachments (a certain popular brand) simply because none of the attachments on the other one get my hair as smooth as the brush attachments on this one do. My one gripe is that it’s not a very ergonomic handle design. Not the most comfortable to hold. The location of the buttons is also not ideal for one handed access if that makes sense.

But overall this is a great value for your money and I recommend it over the *other* product everyone covets.

I purchased this based on reviews and am sorry I did. After using it a very short amount of time, maybe a week, the motor blew as I was using it! The return process is cumbersome and customer service is absolutely awful. It has taken almost a month to get a replacement (which is supposed to be on its way, so it may be over a month) and I had to go out and buy another dryer. Sadly, I like the new dryer much better, but cannot return his product because they are replacing it via the warranty. Very disappointed in T3 and the entire process.

Could have been 5 starts but the price is too high and and the heat is a hair too low. This hair dryer has nice features and is thinner at the base and easier to hold than other hot brush dryers. The extra paddle brush attached is also a nice option would probably be better for thinner hair. It took me a bit t took longer to dry my hair as it doesn't get real hot (900 watts) but it doesn't burn hair with like less expensive revlon and hot tools brands. It has a lot of nice fancy electronic buttons easy to use and a cool shot hold button.. I tried both the Drybar's Full/ half shot dryers, which performed pretty much the same on my hair ( no frizz! ) at a lower price point, less expensive, less buttons to break. Both left my My hair was smooth w/less frizz. BARREL SIZE and CURL: I felt the T3 barrel size was 2.inches wide and was more suited to my hair length ( just past the shoulder thick curly hair) as it's smaller than the Dry bar Full shot dryer ( 2.5" barrel ) and larger than the Dry bar 1/2 size (1.5" barrel) . I was able to get a nice smooth flip and curl with the T3's 2" barrel. I measured the barrel because the product description is a bit misleading. ( I despise oval shaped dryer because you can't get a curl with them and they are way to big). I also love the fact that you can remove the brush on the T3 and just use it as a regular hair dryer!

One reason I purchased this one as opposed to others was the ability to have a variety of heat settings and air settings. I read complaints about the inability to adjust the heat on other models. I have very fine hair and did not want to fry it! Now, I have to learn to use it. My primary reason for this purchase was one arm styling / drying when I have shoulder surgery in November.

I so, so wanted to love this, but no. It broke my heart a little bit.

I have fine, thin just-to-the-shoulder hair that dries somewhat unevenly curly/swoopy and a little frizzy, so my goal is to straighten and smooth it. it. I was hoping the flat brush would allow me to do that and avoid the damage caused by using both a hair dryer and a flat iron.

Per the instructions, I used my regular dryer to get my hair 80% dry, but even after that the T3 felt under-powered and took a long time to fully dry my hair. I used the flat brush, but there was still a lot of swoop and a bit of frizz when all was said and done. Again, fine, thin, slippery hair, so the brush didn't grip well and maybe lack of tension was the problem, but also the time. Who has that much time to spend on drying hair?

I give the T3 credit for having five heat settings and three air speeds, but even at the highest setting it's the power equivalent of blowing on hot soup. Don't even think about using it without the attachments to rough dry. Also, I didn't feel there was a big difference between the heat settings (warm, slightly warmer, somewhat warmer-ish, etc.) and the cool shot was tepid at best.

Overall, it's significantly less dragon-breathed than my original Revlon (which I never use), but a true cool shot or even an "air only" setting would have been nice. I think the T3 might work well for people who have no problem spending lots and lots of time drying their hair and don't mind having to use two dryers, but that would not be me. I'm going to have to return the little heart breaker, but will keep an eye on T3 for future improvements because they're on the right track.

Firstly, figure out what your hair type is before you invest in a blow dry brush. Each one has its own advantages, but for my hair type (fine-textured but lots of hair, straight, heavily highlighted, and very prone to frizziness) this styling tool is amazing! It truly delivers a very polished, salon-quality result, but you also have to use it as it’s intended. The fact that the round brush doesn’t get too hot is such a bonus because I can actually get super close to the hairline and do the pieces around my face that other blow dry brushes would be way too hot to do. The smaller barrel also delivers a smoother, sleeker result than larger barrel products I’ve tried. I also find the wand easy to use (not too heavy whatsoever), and the various settings are great too! I will add that I blow dry my hair first so that it’s mostly dry (takes me about 10-minutes) and then I follow with the T3 blow dry brush. I wouldn’t say that this tool is particularly fast at styling, but the results certainly outperform other brands on the market I’ve tried. Lastly, I would say it’s totally worth the price because it’s going to save you time (I don’t need to use more heat on my hair until it’s wash day again), which prevents hair damage from the overuse of heat.
