So great that it has both metric and standard markings. So happy with the performance that I bought one for my dad that still had his old rusty, hard to use tape measure from when I was a kid. Not to discredit the old tape measure that did still work, poorly at this point just because of use and abuse. But it was just time for a new one. This one is great because it auto locks the tape when you pull it out, no need to use your finger to keep pressure to keep the tape out. When you are ready to put the tape back inside, just hold the release button and it recoils with the right amount of recoil. It has a lock if you wanted it to be locked and not move as well. All around a great tape measure. I cant speak for durability yet. I tend to take care of my stuff and try not to throw or drop it. I don't know what it would do if you were building a roof and dropped it???

In the US, you get stuck with imperial measures because our leaders lack vision. So, although I'm stuck with imperial, I needed the option of metric, because laying things out with imperial measures is a royal pain in the butt, but doesn't have to be. I'm no sucker, so I use metric wherever I can.

Of the painfully few tape measures with a metric option that are available in the US, this is the best I've found. It's a good quality tool with a good clutch and lock. It's easily readable, it has good standout, and it is very reasonably priced, especially in comparison to other options.

I really like the ease of use of this tape measure. It provides quick visual markings whether it’s 7/8 or 3/8 no more counting lines.
