Multimedia Industry Association (Shanghai)

The MIA short for Multimedia Industry Association, was established in 2002 in Shanghai, China. It is a non-profit organisation, united by corporations which are engaged in the multimedia industry. Our Board of directors is a combination of leaders from the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality (STCSM) and Shanghai Administration Bureau of NGOs. The MIA has several divisions which include: the Shanghai Game Developers Association (SGDA), the Shanghai Multimedia Exhibition Committee (SMEC) and Shanghai Digital Media Outsourcing Alliance (SDMOA). Today MIA has over 370+ corporate members whose main activity is focused on animation, game development, digital film,digital exhibition, digital publishing, E-learning and other relevant industries. The majority of our members are located in China: Shanghai, Beijing, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, Xi’an, and Chengdu. But over the years we have gained a growing amount of international members from countries like Canada, UK, France, South Korea, Singapore, Switzerland, Australia and the US, to name just a few. Our Mission is to serve our members, facilitate the industry, provide information and create business opportunities. In other words; building a bridge between institutions and companies, connecting local to global, opening China's digital potential and sharing Shanghai with the rest of the world.
