How can networking at events feel more natural and engaging? At the Zürich MICE Days 2024, we tried something different to help attendees connect easily from the start. Instead of formal intros or icebreakers, we welcomed guests with three interactive stations: flower bouquet crafting, smoothie blending, and coffee brewing with a pro barista. These hands-on activities gave everyone a chance to relax, get creative, and connect without the usual pressure. It was a simple, effective way to break the ice and spark meaningful conversations. In the afternoon, attendees joined one of five small-group Insight Sessions, each focused on a unique topic. These intimate workshops and discussions helped participants dive deeper and laid the groundwork for conversations that carried on into the evening. By the time dinner was served, the morning’s flower bouquets decorated the tables, reminding everyone of the connections and conversations that grew throughout the day. This approach proved once again how interactive experiences and thoughtful design can make any gathering a place of genuine connection.
