It was a blast at VOLTA Art Fair NYC 2024 this year. I curated a booth for artist, Ivan Stojakovic who's work explores painting, collage and sculpture with found industrial, and organic materials. The artist is deeply engaged with the process of multi-layered integration, and strives to create rich sensory experiences for viewers to explore. Through a constructivist mixed media process, he builds metaphors that serve as environmentally themed narrative possibilities. While working in this way, Stojakovic balances on the fine line between abstraction and representation. I look forward to future curatorial projects.

Once again, this edition proved why VOLTA is the premier destination for discovering the future of art. With dynamic presentations and significant sales, the atmosphere was undeniable ⚡️ A major highlight was Ireland’s Stone Step Gallery featuring the captivating work of Paul Hughes. Following his impressive debut last year, Hughes continued to impress, with eight of his pieces finding new homes. #VOLTANewYork presents the Ukrainian Pavilion in partnership with Razom, offering creatives in the country and Ukrainian diaspora crucial access to the market whilst living in conflict. On Thursday, we opened up a conversation around the power of art in diplomacy and crossing cultural boundaries. In a very special gifting ceremony, artist Ola Rondiak donated a work to Megan Beyer, Director of the governmental department Art in Embassies.
