🌍 Bringing Together Key Stakeholders Across the Energy Sector 🌍 At Unbound Potential, we are on a mission to accelerate the adoption of renewable energy sources, decarbonize the electricity grid, and speed up the transition to a net-zero economy. To drive meaningful change, we are convinced that the key to success lies in connecting industry leaders and innovators across both commercial and research environments. This is why UP recently presented at two important local events: At the Swiss Physical Society (SPS) Annual Meeting 2024, where our company was invited to discuss the pivotal role that physics and physicists play in developing a product, co-founder Federico Paratore represented UP and shared the technical steps we are undertaking to develop our solution. A few days later, at the Solar & Storage Live Zürich, co-founder Pier Giuseppe Rivano gave a talk about the role of UP's innovative storage solution in the context of the latest developments in solar technology, connecting with a diverse audience of installers, commercial leaders, and industrial customers. This event served as a powerful platform to support industrial actors seeking truly sustainable solar and storage solutions to drive local change. If you also share our mission and want to be part of this transformation, share your thoughts with us – which aspects are crucial yet overlooked when developing impactful products? #EnergyRevolution #OpenInnovation #Sustainability #SolarEnergy #EnergyStorage #PhysicsInStartups

Celebrating SPRIND Model 🎉 Last week, SPRIND - Bundesagentur für Sprunginnovationen (the German Agency for Disruptive Innovation) marked its fifth anniversary! As our earliest financial supporter, SPRIND has grown to become one of the top five agencies in the world in terms of annual budget dedicated to disruptive innovation (source: Nature https://lnkd.in/e6Q5hwKc). We are proud to be one of the few companies selected by them from 2,100 applicants to receive over €3M in funding. Their support has been instrumental in helping us make a significant leap in both our technology and product development, and we are incredibly grateful! But SPRIND model goes beyond that… #innovation, specifically in the #energy and #climate space, transcends any form of border, and its global impact cannot be denied. Cross-country collaboration is not just beneficial, it’s essential! Shining examples of this are (1) the memorandum of understanding signed between SPRIND and the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF)’s Directorate for Technology, Innovation and Partnerships (NSF TIP) last week in Leipzig, and (2) the synergies between SPRIND and the EU's policy framework as stated by SPRIND director Rafael Laguna de la Vera in an interview about the "Report on the Competitiveness of the European Union" by former ECB president Mario Draghi (read more here: https://lnkd.in/egqzvvvw). At Unbound Potential, we are excited and honored to be part of this historical moment as we continue advancing our radically simple #LDES technology to be market ready. We can't wait to see what the future holds! ✨ #Innovation #SPRIND #DisruptiveInnovation #EnergyStorage #Sustainability #NSF #TransatlanticPartnership #climatetech #grantsfunding
🇩🇪 🇺🇸 SPRIND - Bundesagentur für Sprunginnovationen joins forces with National Science Foundation (NSF) to accelerate innovations The transatlantic partnership aims to propel innovative technology translation, lay the foundation for new industries and positively impact people's lives in the U.S. and Europe. SPRIND announced a partnership with the U.S. National Science Foundation, through its Directorate for Technology, Innovation and Partnerships (NSF TIP), in fostering breakthrough innovations in key technology areas. This partnership underscores SPRIND’s expertise in accelerating disruptive technologies and aims to propel innovations that will have a transformative impact on both sides of the Atlantic. At SPRIND’s fifth-anniversary event in Leipzig, SPRIND director Rafael Laguna de la Vera and Dr. Erwin Gianchandani from NSF TIP signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU). The MOU unlocks possibilities for SPRIND and TIP to work together to accelerate timelines for selecting and conducting translational research on an international scale. Utilizing the SPRIND Challenge model, NSF and SPRIND jointly plan to bring the U.S. and European innovation ecosystems closer to enable unconventional approaches to solving substantial societal problems and translate discoveries into tangible applications and products. SPRIND Challenges are innovative competitions where participating teams receive swift financial support to develop solutions for major modern societal and technological challenges. In the SPRIND Challenges, teams compete in a multistage format. At the end of each stage, the teams' work is evaluated, and only the best advance in the competition and receive additional financial support to further develop their ideas. Since projects with disruptive innovation potential often involve high risks that preclude funding by private or other public financiers, SPRIND finances the work of the Challenge teams, thus closing a gap in German and European innovation funding. SPRIND uses the instrument of pre-commercial procurement to enable all these actors with unbureaucratic, flexible, and fast financing. This attractive financing involves minimal administrative effort, can be implemented quickly, and allows funds to be used flexibly. To date, SPRIND has successfully launched nine innovation competitions across various sectors, including life sciences, computing and clean tech. Through this partnership, NSF will learn more about SPRIND's processes, and together, NSF and SPRIND will apply them to benefit innovation ecosystems in both the U.S. and Europe. https://lnkd.in/e_nuezyP Patrick P. Wir stellen Ihnen die Teams vor, die an der SPRIND Challenge "Long-Duration Energy Storage" teilnehmen.
