🔍 Einer #Winkelstützmauer sieht man kritische #Schäden nicht an!   Ratet mal, wo hat die rückseitige #Bewehrung #Korrosionsschäden bei dieser 25m langen Winkelstützmauer? Das ETH Projekt TALPA Inspection wusste es, bevor ein Teil dieser #Stützmauer ausgegraben wurde. Bei einem Element hatten 7 von 8 ausgegrabenen Bewehrungseisen bereits einen durchschnittlichen #Querschnittsverlust von über 25 %. Dadurch konnte die #Winkelstützmauer rechtzeitig lokal verstärkt werden, sodass die #Bevölkerung auch in Zukunft sicher auf den Bus warten kann. Lokale Korrosionsschäden können die #Tragsicherheit von #Bauwerken gefährden. Untersuchungen haben gezeigt, dass besonders bei Winkelstützmauern Schäden heterogen verteilt sein können. Auch ohne visuelle Anzeichen auf der Frontseite kann die statisch relevante hangseitige Bewehrung grosse Schäden aufweisen. Die Suche nach diesen lokalen Defekten war früher wie die Suche nach der Nadel im Heuhaufen.
