Yesterday’s Peers and Cheers was a great evening of sharing ideas and inspiration. Then our event is made for you! 🙌 With the observation that reaching #NetZero needs to be seen as a challenge tackled by us as a community, a group of students and employees from ETH got together at the last #Net Zero Day and came up with the idea that a mascot would help us in our daily efforts 🌍. As it should be representing the ETH community, we would like to invite you to share your ideas on what it should look like. Be it colours, shapes, textures... We will collect all input to create a mood board of our mascot together! Last Thursday’s event at SPH brought together experienced lab users, curious new students, and our team—Senior Scientist Ulrich Genick, Supervisor Tetiana Luhovska, and Coach Mattis Stolze. Engaging discussions with our team and ongoing projects gave students insight into cultivating a maker mindset in life sciences, blending fun exploration with a deep dive into future projects. 🧑🏻🔬🔬 Adding some Halloween spirit, we served pumpkin soup, hosted a VR tour of the lab, and offered lab coat customization in the Makerspace! Mastering the art of pitching! 🎤 In this workshop, students learned a unique approach to make our pitches resonate by focusing on real problems. Through the 4P model and hands-on peer feedback, students refined their presentations for any audience. Huge thanks to Mattis Stolze for all the insights and guidance, and to everyone who joined! 🙌🏻
