🌍 Inclusivity was a cornerstone of Politecnico di Milano’s digital redesign. From research to final design, we focused on the perceptions, behaviors, needs, and expectations of diverse user groups. In our co-design project, we adopted a visual and communicative language that represents diversity, creating guidelines and a Brandbook to promote authentic and respectful representation of all identities. The Tone of Voice (TOV) effectively speaks to a heterogeneous population while maintaining an institutional level, including language rules to avoid discrimination and stereotypes. Breathtaking views, inspiring collaborations. 🌅 From dune hikes and volcano excursions to sunset ceramics, our time in Fuerteventura has been as enriching as it has been beautiful. Together with two multidisciplinary teams of young talents, our Executive Design Director Stefania Berselli mentored at “A Journey through UX/UI, Inclusive Design, and AI,” a week-long immersive experience organized by Cosmico. While Stefania has been guiding participants on-site through real-world challenges, integrating AI into inclusive design, our Design Directors Maria Grazia Cilenti and Serena Tonus contributed their expertise behind the scenes in preparing the workshops. 💡 The new visual identity co-designed with Politecnico di Milano is generative and flexible, adapting to various contexts and touchpoints. It maintains aesthetic and communicative consistency while celebrating the university's diverse facets. Centered on “Technology for humanity,” the identity combines technological progress with human focus. The circle, a central element, unifies the visual identity. The generative design efficiently creates new digital products and revamps existing ones. A distinctive colour palette and modern typography strengthen the identity of each School and respect Politecnico di Milano's core values.
