Medair hat dies direkt geteilt
Our Medair team in Goma is on the frontline of responding to #mpox - so far they've treated more than 300 people, mostly young children. Dr Pierre Olivier Ngadjole our Medical Advisor in DR Congo told the BBC that; “Here in Goma, across all the cases we have treated, we have seen zero deaths. People are coming to us early, which is key to preventing further transmission. It helps that Medair has been working in the DRC for a long time (since 1996) and we are trusted." It's been brilliant to see Medair colleagues featured on BBC News, The Independent, The Telegraph and Reuters providing expert and first-hand accounts of our continuing response to this deadly diseise. New patients arrive every day at our clinics seeking lifesaving treatment, and our efforts to raise awareness in at-risk communities continues at pace.
