PRESS RELEASE 📢 Medacta announces the introduction of a simplified approach for its M-ARS (Medacta - Anatomic Ribbon Surgery) ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) technique at the AGA Congress 2024 in Zürich, Switzerland. The M-ARS technique offers a more natural approach to ACL reconstruction than traditional round-graft-tunnel single-bundle techniques. It is designed to optimize knee biomechanics and enhance graft healing following ACL  reconstruction, mimicking the native footprint by using a flat graft to enhance stress distribution and biological healing at the insertion site, potentially improving patient outcomes in terms of recovery time and return to an active lifestyle.  Read the announcement on our website: https://lnkd.in/dCucqpwv

We are proud to celebrate Assoc. Prof Daevyd Rodda's milestone achievement of more than 1'000 hip arthroplasties by leveraging Medacta's 3D patient-matched technology.   "Anterior hip replacement surgery is a real passion for me. I am constantly delighted to see how quickly patients recover and get back to the activities they love. Having performed my last 1000 procedures utilizing Medacta’s 3D patient-matched technology, I have been extremely impressed by the accuracy and reliability of this system. When I train other surgeons in anterior hip replacement, I strongly recommend they also use this technology." says Assoc. Prof Rodda.   Our 3D Printed Patient-Specific Guides enable the surgeon with an accurate and reproducible intraoperative delivery tool based on preoperative planning performed closely with our MySolutions Personalized Ecosystem engineering team and designed on the specific patient’s anatomy. The production of the 3D-printed guides through a completely in-house process starts just after the surgeon planning's check and approval. The process takes only three weeks! Are you looking for a preoperative planning software for spine surgery? 💡The advanced 3D tools provided by Medacta allow surgeons to optimize screw parameters, entry points, and trajectories, aiming to achieve a high level of accuracy. [1] For the first time in the Canton of Vaud (Switzerland), Dr. Rodolfo Maduri (Spine Surgery at Hôpital Riviera Chablais) has performed lumbo-pelvic fixation through a midline cortical approach using Medacta’s 3D-printed patient-matched solution: “I chose this solution because I believe it can bring considerable benefits to my patients. First of all, the preoperative planning is quite accurate and truly personalized. Additionally, the minimally invasive approach can speed up recovery. On top of this, I was impressed by the ease of use of such an innovative solution,” affirmed Dr. Maduri. Medacta’s patient-specific 3D template guide is part of the MySolutions Personalized Ecosystem, our network of advanced digital solutions designed to improve patient outcomes and healthcare efficiency. Over the last decade, the adoption of the anterior approach has grown substantially due to the benefits afforded by its intra-muscular and intra-nervous approach. Surgeons utilize variations of the anterior procedure based on their learning path and preference. Watch the video of this webinar with John Masonis MD, Tom Ellis MD, Tyler D. Goldberg MD discussing two technique variations: AMIS No-Release and the AMIS Bikini ➡️ https://lnkd.in/esU_jvwb The AMIS technique offers a sequential release of femoral attachments that allows surgeons to choose the amount of releases needed based on a patient’s indications. During this webinar, the progression to the No-Release technique and learning pathway have been discussed. Another variation of the anterior procedure is the AMIS Bikini, representing the natural evolution of the AMIS approach. Following the same intermuscular pathway but utilizing an inguinal skin incision performed within the skin fold of the natural “bikini line” (or frontal groin crease), it results in an aesthetically pleasing cosmetic scar which can be hidden when wearing underwear or swimwear, potentially combined with enhanced wound healing environment and lower rate of wound complications [1,2,3,4]. The Medacta AMIS Bikini comprehensive offering features a dedicated set of instruments to streamline and facilitate the surgical procedure and the soft tissue preservation, complemented by a tailored medical education pathway.
