Growing Tomorrow: Collective Leadership in Regenerative Landscapes During New York Climate Week, leaders in regenerative agriculture gathered for a pivotal evening co-hosted by OP2B, WBCSD – World Business Council for Sustainable Development, Regen House, 2030 Breakthrough, Regen10, COP28 UAE, and Boston Consulting Group (BCG). This event also marked the 5-year anniversary of OP2B, highlighting the organization’s enduring commitment to transforming agriculture & food systems. The evening sets the stage new vision ahead of COP30, uniting stakeholders under a shared mission to drive large-scale change in agriculture. The key takeaways? It’s time to accelerate the scale-up of regenerative agriculture. It’s time to put farmers’ first. It’s time to share equitably the costs and risks of the transition across the value chain. "Be bold, take action and be ready to be challenged." - this was one of the most profound messages I gathered from an incredible week at the One Young World summit! While the content of climate change, AI, and peace-making stood out to me, it was the genuine intergenerational dialogue (with a focus of learning from youth leaders) that was truly humbling. I am especially thankful for the support of Irene G. and Klennis Lau who encouraged me to join as a partner executive alongside Courtney Davis. A massive thank-you to Courtney for her role in organizing the L'Occitane crew, and liaising with #OYW24 organizers to ensure we have the best experience together - and we absolutely did! I am also grateful for the company of our colleagues! We bonded over a lifetime of shared experiences through networking, action workshops, and more! OP2B: Celebrating five years of progress in regenerative agriculture As a member of the One Planet Business for Biodiversity (OP2B) coalition, L’OCCITANE Group is thrilled to mark the five-year anniversary of this transformative initiative. OP2B is an international cross-sectoral, action-oriented business coalition on biodiversity with a specific focus on agriculture, and since 2019 has made significant strides in driving regenerative agriculture and protecting biodiversity across the globe. It celebrates this 5 year milestone today with the release of ‘OP2B Five-Year Report: Demonstrating progress on regenerative agriculture’ which examines the efforts of the 26 OP2B members. One of the signature collaborative initiatives undertaken by OP2B members is the Climate Fund for Nature, initiated by Kering, supported by L’OCCITANE Group and managed by Mirova. The fund, launched in 2022, mobilises resources from the luxury, fashion and beauty sectors to protect and restore nature, with a particular focus on female empowerment.
