Many of us have taken the Myers-Briggs personality test to see if we’re an INFP or an ESTJ. Fun but not something that should play any role in hiring. Why? Poor test-reset reliability, limited and rigid categorisation, the Barnum effect and the lack of scientific validity. It’s why we use game-based assessments in our matching process rather than the traditional kind. They provide a better experience, reduce bias, are neuro-inclusive and there’s a stack of scientific evidence showing they’re superior at measuring the two aspects most predictive of job performance: 🧠 Cognitive Ability/General Mental Ability (GMA), which has proven to be the most significant predictor of work performance, with a correlation of 0.65-0.74. 🧐Behaviour, which has proven to be a significant predictor of work performance, with a correlation of 0.45.
