IUCN hat dies direkt geteilt
The past three days have been extremely fulfilling. We had the incredible opportunity to bring together members of the IUCN family at our Regional Conservation Forum in the United States of America. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all our members, partners, and participants. Your commitment to driving #conservation #impact is truly inspiring, and your engagement in our discussions and support for various key initiatives reinforces the power of collaboration in protecting our planet’s #biodiversity. We had the privilege of hearing from our incredible U.S. Members on how to shape our 20-year Strategic Vision and what our Union should focus on through our 4-year Programme. Early discussions on motions leading up to the World Conservation Congress were particularly insightful, providing a valuable opportunity to reflect on our shared achievements, strategise for the future, and shape the global conservation agenda. The U.S., with its unparalleled landscapes and pioneering conservation efforts, continues to be a beacon of #leadership within IUCN. Your thought leadership, #advocacy, and contributions have a profound impact on our global mission. I look forward to continuing our work together and meeting again at the World Conservation Congress in Abu Dhabi next year. Thank you for your dedication and partnership. Together, we are making a #difference.

Wetlands are Earth’s most threatened ecosystem, with 35% of the world’s #wetlands lost since 1970. Protecting them can help with global challenges such as #ClimateChange, biodiversity loss and food and water security.
