At Energy Infrastructure Partners, we believe in incorporating more than just finance in our investment lifecycle. As Jørgen Kildahl, an independent member of EIP’s ESG Committee, puts it: “EIP’s investment selection approach goes beyond finance. The company has fully dedicated ESG specialists and a robust and structured process to ensure ESG is embedded in all stages of the investment approval process and throughout each investment’s lifetime.” We actively engage with our portfolio companies, monitor their ESG performance, and maintain a continuous dialogue to identify potential ESG-related risks and opportunities. We also provide regular ESG updates to our investors and hold dedicated workshops upon request. Our approach ensures we are not just reacting to trends but actively shaping our strategy as a leader in our field. 👉 Read more about our approach in our Sustainability Report 2023: https://lnkd.in/dYAjM43c #EnergyInfrastructurePartners #ESG #SustainableInvestment

“Collaborating with EIP on our ESG action plan is integral to advancing our shared sustainability goals and driving meaningful impact,” said Aurelien de Meaux, CEO of Electra. EIP’s 2023 Sustainability Report features a case study about the cooperation with our partner Electra. With the aim of building the leading fast-charging network for electric vehicles in Europe, Electra and EIP formed a joint venture in 2023 to extend its network of charging stations into Switzerland and Austria. To further strengthen the company’s systems in line with its rapid expansion strategy, Electra and EIP collaborated on a tailored ESG action plan that includes the development and expansion of specific ESG management elements, with clear and measurable targets for every action. 👉 Discover the full case study and more in our Sustainability Report 2023: https://lnkd.in/dYAjM43c #EnergyInfrastructurePartners #ESG #SustainableInvestment

Out now: The Energy Infrastructure Partners Sustainability Report for 2023 Sustainability is integral to our investment strategy, influencing every decision we make and action we take as a company. As part of our investment strategy and generating returns for our clients, each investment we make strives to foster a prosperous, stable and resilient society. Our portfolio companies helped avoid 4.3 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent in 2023 through the production of renewable energy, a 44% increase from 2022. It is as much carbon dioxide as 197m mature trees capture annually. 🌐 To see how else our portfolio companies are contributing to a more sustainable future, read the whole report on our website: https://lnkd.in/dYAjM43c #ESG #SustainableInvestment #UNSDGs #energyinfrastructure

Electric cars can play a key role in ensuring European independence. “Europe will never have enough of its own oil for all the cars on the continent,” said Aurelien de Meaux, CEO of Electra, at the Energy Infrastructure Partners Summit 2024 in June. The company’s network of European charging stations recently crossed the 300 mark, including 30 new installations in June alone, important infrastructure that paves the way for increasingly electrified transport. The company is also helping address health and environmental issues, with emissions from the transport sector creating risks for people living in cities and contributing to climate change. “Transport is responsible for 30% of carbon dioxide emissions in the European Union,” de Meaux said, making it one of the only sectors that has not seen declining emissions since 1990, another front where electric vehicles can create a big impact. 👉 To learn more about the role of electric vehicle infrastructure in the energy transition, watch de Meaux’s full speech at https://lnkd.in/e5r29DZa #EIPSummit #EnergyInfrastructure #FutureofEnergy #SustainableEnergy #EnergyTransition #Electra

Energy Infrastructure Partners’ Sustainability Report is live. ⚡In 2023, our portfolio companies generated more than 25 terawatt hours of renewable energy, equivalent to the electricity used by 6.4 million European households. 🌳 They also helped avoid 4.3 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions through the production of renewable energy, roughly the amount captured by 197 million trees per year. We are also celebrating the 10th anniversary of EIP. As we look at the decade ahead, we stand ready to contribute to a just energy transition and continue to invest in system critical infrastructure. We do this while offering our clients access to specialized, off-market opportunities in the energy infrastructure sector that can add diversification to their portfolios and enhance their risk-adjusted returns. 👉 Read the whole report here: https://lnkd.in/dYAjM43c #decarbonization #energytransition #energyinfrastructure
