It is famous for its unique clay and limestone soils, especially in Listrac-Médoc, where excellent wines are made. In 1973, Edmond de Rothschild acquired Château Clarke, an estate within this region that was neglected at the time. He modernised the infrastructure and adapted the domain with its surrounding nature. Nowadays, Château Clarke’s vineyards flourish with the delicate scent of vine flowers, which help predict the quality of future harvests.
