🔉Digital Health Technologies are revolutionising Clinical Trials! An emerging market which will grow to $23.5 billion by 2030. Our digital health lead Jade Sternberg had the chance to share insights and best practices into how to integrate digital health technologies (DHT) in clinical trials at the OCT DACH 2024 conference. Main takeaways: ⚖️ Find the right balance between the suitability of the technology, its compatibility to the patient and the operation process when selecting a DHT 📈Start with pilot studies before scaling up to larger trials to establish acceptance amongst patients en healthcare providers, ensure uninterrupted capture and transmission of data and maximise protocol adherence 💡Follow the three step approach to evaluate a DHT: verification, validation, usability Using DHTs in clinical trials ensures continuous data capture, decentralised clinical trials ensuring broader reach, faster trials and remote monitoring. A very interactive keynote where participants shared their best practices and use cases on integrating DHTs in their own clinical trials. Big shout out to Ancora.ai use case which helps patients find personalised trials options in an easy and fast way through AI. 🚀 Ralitsa Pashkuleva Arena International Events Group Outsourcing in Clinical Trials Event Series

🚀 "What do we want to have achieved when we meet at the next Swiss Data Space Forum?" – a powerful and crucial question posed by Franziska Barmettler, incoming CEO of digitalswitzerland, as she moderated the closing panel at the first Swiss Data Space Forum. As panelists discussed the future of Swiss data spaces, they emphasised the need for action, collaboration, and simplicity in breaking down complex data collaboration benefits for public and private actors: 🌟 Switzerland’s Potential: Marc Holitscher of Microsoft reminded us that Switzerland has all the right ingredients for successful data spaces–and it’s time to put them together. 🌟 Industry Opportunities & Challenges: Oksana Riba Grognuz of EPFL highlighted both shared challenges and unique opportunities across industries, advocating for international collaboration. 🌟 Proactive Legal Approach: Raffael Knecht from Swisscom urged that we face legal complexities head-on, making them integral to project progress. 🌟 Vibrant Community & Iterative Progress: Thomas Schneider from Federal Office of Communications OFCOM applauded the engaged community, underscoring that we don’t need to wait for perfection–iterative steps will drive success and scaling effects. As we look ahead, the panelists left us with ambitious yet actionable goals: to advance digital identity, recognise data’s role alongside AI, and to bridge industry, public, and private sectors for lasting impact. 📅 Save the Date: The next Swiss Data Space Forum is set for 2 September 2025. Let's keep this momentum alive – so when we meet next, actions speaks louder than words. #SwissData #DataStewardship #DigitalSwitzerland #SwissDataAlliance #TrustInData #GaiaX

🌐 Building a Data Ecosystem in Switzerland: A To Do List 📝 The vision is clear this afternoon at the Swiss Data Space Forum: Switzerland needs an ecosystem where data serves as a valuable resource for innovation and societal benefit. The Federal Chancellery’s plans to establish a single point of contact for the Swiss data ecosystem, set to launch on 1 January 2025, matches the needs identified in today’s discussions and is intended to promote the multiple use of data within a trusted framework. With the Swiss Data Space Forum, digitalswitzerland and the Swiss Data Alliance have created a platform for collaboration and promoting the reuse of data across business, government, academia and the general public. What are the To Do’s identified in today’s discussions? 📌 Continue fostering a collaborative approach and expand stakeholder engagement. The SDSF is a first effort to bring together diverse stakeholders, facilitate data exchange across various domains and effectively remove barriers to collaboration.  📌 Develop and formalise trust frameworks for consistent, secure data sharing across sectors. Through discussions on data protection, security, and integrity, the SDSF contributes to the development of frameworks that enable responsible data sharing, fostering public trust in how data is used.  📌 Prioritise establishing and implementing cross-sector data standards to enhance interoperability. The Swiss Data Space Forum highlights the importance of interoperability principles and data standards, which are crucial for supporting technological solutions that ensure seamless data reuse and exchange across sectors. 📌 Identify and share emerging technologies and successful data use cases to inspire innovation and economic development. Today’s Forum highlights best practices, success stories and emerging technologies that utilise data to stimulate innovation and promote new business models within Switzerland's digital economy.  📌Collaborate on governance models that ensure effective, aligned data management in both public and private sectors. The Swiss Data Space Forum serves as a collaborative platform where stakeholders can co-develop governance structures that align with national strategies, ensuring effective data management by both public and private sectors. #SwissDataSpaceForum #digitalswitzerland #SwissDataAlliance #DataEcosystem #Collaboration #DataSpaces Bundeskanzlei BK
