The St. Gallen Endowment for Prosperity Through Trade is excited to partner with the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) on the groundbreaking Digital Trade Acceleration Initiative. This comprehensive effort encompasses detailed regulatory assessments for all 16 DCO member states, insights from a regional business survey and stakeholder interviews, as well as an annotated model text for digital trade agreements. Right now, our Digital Policy Alert team conducts a comprehensive regulatory assessment on a dozen policy issues at the intersection of trade and the digital economy - from data flows and artificial intelligence to digital payments and consumer protection online. Through this partnership, we create comprehensive evidence for a region rarely studied for its digital regulatory environment. Drawing on our experience in rapidly capturing and verifying global policy changes and our systematic approach to data collection and analysis, we aim to provide timely and relevant insights to the DCO and its membership with the joint aim of enabling #DigitalProsperity4All. Our focus is on delivering high-quality, actionable information that can help policymakers create an environment where businesses can thrive and consumers can trust in digital trade.
