The UnderServed project is creating a platform designed to report and analyze threats, focusing on sectors that are highly vulnerable to cyberattacks but lack adequate resources to address them effectively. Their most recent threat landscape report highlights the acute need for the UnderServed platform and the broader necessity of adopting a proactive, informed approach to cybersecurity within the NGO sector. How are universities supporting #cybervolunteering efforts? Check out this recent episode of the CyberScoop #SafeMode podcast featuring Elijah Baucom, director of the University of California, Berkeley Cybersecurity Clinic at the UC Berkeley School of Information. In this episode, Baucom shares how the clinic partners students with nonprofits that are more susceptible to ideological-based attacks (e.g. human rights orgs, reproductive rights orgs) to provide them with pro-bono cybersecurity training and assistance.
