Our Bystronic running team took part in two impressive events in Switzerland in the last few weeks. They delivered top performances: 10 colleagues took part in the anniversary edition of the "Emmenlauf" and enjoyed the beautiful 10.5 km course along the river "Emme" in perfect weather conditions. Impressive: all Bystronic runners finished under 55 minutes! Two team members completed their first run, which was particularly pleasing for us. We also continued with the traditional "Augustlauf". Our team took part with four runners. In summer conditions and with the support of many cheering spectators. Last Saturday our systems engineer, Wilfried Liegard, took part in the Paris Olympic Marathon! He was lucky enough to secure one of the coveted tickets and ran the iconic 42.195km course through the heart of the French capital right after the professionals. "The atmosphere was incredible! The first few kilometres felt like a bike race or triathlon, with people cheering us on all the way. The climb up the Pavé des Gardes was tough but exhilarating. "Two decades ago, I stood where our new apprentices stand today. I had the opportunity to show them our bending products and share my journey with Bystronic. My path began with a three-and-a-half-year training program as an electronics technician specializing in industrial technology. After a brief stint in assembly, I found my niche in the Demo and Training Center, where I soon became a valued team member.
