The EU Pay Transparency Directive 2023/970 came into effect on June 6, 2023, and member states have until June 7, 2026, to implement the directive's provisions. By 2027 companies will need to have compliant pay reporting. Pay equity and transparency can increase talent attraction and retention, and build employee trust and engagement. Non-compliance, on the other hand, can damage a reputation and lead to fines and penalties.
