Industries are the beating heart of the modern world. And today, for our customers in every industry – from energy to building, transport, manufacturing and more – to run their business is no longer enough. They need to meet higher targets, be more sustainable, and manage transitions. They need to outperform. Or as we say – they need to outrun. As a global technology leader in electrification and automation, we’re helping the world’s industries run at high performance; while becoming more efficient, productive, and sustainable so they can outperform. At ABB, we call this ‘Engineered to Outrun’. Find out more: https://lnkd.in/etv592D3 #EngineeredToOutrun #Outrun #ABB

Our Methane Hunters film has been shortlisted for the 2024 tve Global Sustainability Film Awards! The film highlights the challenge of methane leaks from orphan wells and our solutions to address them. It competes within the category Corporates & Businesses in Sustainability and is one of 80 entries from over 20 countries. Orphan wells, which are often unmaintained, ageing and prone to leaks, contribute to as much as 10% of the methane emissions globally. We provide the Well Done Foundation with technology and financial support to help trace and monitor methane leaks. Our work on this initiative is a great example of how technology can benefit the environment and help countries achieve their energy transition and sustainability goals Watch the video here: https://lnkd.in/ezNDuGbH

Today, we began the phased opening of our new $100 million campus in Wisconsin. The new facility strengthens our localized supply chains, and keeps us close to our customers. It will increase U.S. production capacity of industrial electric drives and service to fully meet Build America Buy America Act (BABAA) requirements. The highly automated production facility will be complemented by a digital Customer Experience Center and an Innovation Lab to better serve customers in the United States. With building design features such as solar power, advanced building controls, geothermal heat pump and modern HVAC systems, the new facility will help us meet our 2030 sustainability goals.
