CGE Student Spotlight: Karolina Calderin Vargas
Karolina Calderin Vargas, a junior at FSU majoring in Public Health and Human Development and Family Science with a minor in Anthropology, has made the most of her time at FSU by participating in the Global Citizenship Certificate (GCC). Recently, she was awarded the GCC scholarship, which allowed her to embark on an enriching Global Exchange experience at Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan during the summer of 2024.

CGE Student Spotlight: Liat Hakmon
Liat Hakmon, a junior majoring in political science and Interdisciplinary Social Science, is studying for the spring semester at the University of Salzburg, Austria through the FSU Global Exchange Program. Hakmon also receives the Global Citizenship Certificate (GCC) scholarship, which is awarded to high-achieving students enrolled in the GCC.

Janeen Green is a senior studying Religion and Humanities and is currently enrolled in the Global Citizenship Certificate (GCC) program. Green is also President of the Religion Club (Student Organized for Religious and Cultural Exploration) and a member of the Alliance for Black Women.

Jayasankar C B, Ph.D.
Jayasankar C B, Ph.D. is an international Postdoctoral Scholar in the Center for Ocean-Atmospheric Prediction Studies at FSU. Jayasankar, who is from India, has been working on coupled ocean-atmosphere regional climate models and tropical climate variability and change with a team led by Professor Vasu Misra.

Adelina Emini
Adelina Emini is a Visiting Scholar from Kosovo who has spent the Fall semester of 2022 at FSU as a marketing PhD candidate in the final stages of her dissertation from the University of Prishtina. Adelina is completing her research under the mentorship of Dr. Ruby Lee at the College of Business, who she credits for playing an instrumental role in helping her become an international scholar.

Bechir Driss, a government-sponsored student from Tunisia studying Computer Science, is enrolled in the 2022-2023 academic year at FSU as a recipient of the Thomas Jefferson Scholarship Program (TJSP) sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.
