    Selected for the award as a result of my work co-chairing the CNIB annual Dining in the Dark fundraiser in Fredericton, which has raised more than $15,000 in the last two years to help New Brunswickers in the capital region with vision loss.

    Hannon Hill

    Won an award on behalf of the University of New Brunswick for the creative use of the Cascade Web Content Management Software (CMS) that was part of an internal communication system I designed for the University of New Brunswick.

    The system created an e-newsletter / notices available via automated e-mail, community portal, blog and mobile app with potential for social media integration.

    I received this award as I was part of the team that implemented our internal community portal, myUNB and developed new innovations within it such as social media integration and personal notifications.

    I earned this award, a special recognition for service, for my work helping improve security systems put in place to protect the privacy and safety of hundreds of Kosovar refugees relocated to Canadian Forces Base Gagetown temporarily during the conflict in 1999.
