TERRA Teaching Gardens Updates!   On July 25th, members of the West Management team went out to help in the West TERRA Teaching Garden. The group unloaded and spread an entire skid of topsoil for the garden in West. A special thanks to Ryan Westbrook, West Plant GM, for encouraging your management team to get out in the garden!    On August 1st, the Cambridge TERRA Teaching Garden crew got their hands dirty for the first big harvest of the season! We’re thrilled to have donated a variety of fresh produce, including cucumbers, onions, radishes, zucchini, Swiss chard, potatoes, peppers, beans, leeks, a beet, and 150 heads of garlic to Haven House!   On August 19th, the Cambridge TERRA Teaching Garden had some help! Members of the Cambridge Management team put straw down in between rows and also helped to weed. Their work made a big difference and was greatly appreciated!   A special shoutout to the South Weld Kaizen team for building protective barriers to keep our veggies safe from critters this year. Your hard work truly made a difference!

This summer we welcomed over 50 co-op students and over 275 production students to TMMC! Sending a huge thank you to these students for their hard work, dedication and commitment throughout their time with us. Best of luck with your future academic and career endeavours!

TMMC is proud to support rare Charitable Research Reserve! rare Charitable Research Reserve is a community-based urban land trust and environmental institute. For many years, TMMC has been sending groups of volunteers to support projects through TMMC’s Community Support Program. This summer, two groups of Team Members supported volunteer days with rare. The Team Members had the opportunity to learn more about rare, conduct mirrored research with butterflies, and helped out in rare’s community gardening removing invasive species and planting organic veggies for the Cambridge Food Bank.

Join us at the Annual Cambridge Plant Show & Shine on August 25, 2024, from 9:00am to 3:00pm! The show car entrance fee is by donation, with all proceeds going United Way Waterloo Region Communities. All are welcome to come out, have fun, and support the United Way! Entry is free for spectators.

TMMC has just reached a remarkable milestone! Our 11 millionth vehicle, a white Woodland Edition RAV4 Hybrid, has rolled off the production line in the West Plant. This achievement is a direct result of the dedication, focus, and hard work of our world-class Team Members. Congratulations Team Members on this incredible milestone!
